A bit of history: Lake Mary started as two small citrus settlements, Bent’s Station and Belle Fontaine, on the railroad between Sanford and Orlando. The lake, and later the town, was named for the wife of a minister who settled on its northern shore. The Lake Mary Chamber of Commerce dates to January 1923 and is said to be the oldest continuously active chamber of its kind in Florida. The city didn’t incorporate until August 7, 1973, and its big growth in homes and offices came in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

As a Realtor I know there are a lot of option out there when it comes to movers, I chose Black Swan for my person move and could not have been more pleased. Customer service was great over the phone. I will say you may call and not get an answer but leave a message and they will call you back asap. The guys who came to assist with ny move were Bryant and Jerry. They let ne know when they were on their way and arrived within the time promosed tk start. When they arrived they introduced themselve, both were very friendly as well as efficient and quick. Bryant wrapped and banded blankets around anything unboxed in record time. It was obvious it was not his first rodeo.. lol I say rodeo because it reminded me of the hog tying competitions. Everything arrived at the new house safe and sound and Bryant reassembled my furniture better than it was before from orginal store delivery people. Took the time to do it right. I was orginally in a 4th floor apt so there was a lot of effort to move it from the apt so the fact there was nothing damaged was impressive but had there been they do provide some insurance with an option to add additional should you feel a need to. I will be recommending them to clients in the future with confidence. They literally roll out the red carpet for you! Be sure to tip these guys they work hard!

Lake Mary sits between Sanford and Longwood along I-4. We work across Seminole, Volusia, Orange, and Lake counties every week.
First check that the city serves your address: not every Lake Mary address is on city utilities, and the city has a "Do I Live in the City of Lake Mary" map. Then apply online or at Customer Service/Utility Billing in City Hall, 100 N. Country Club Road. Renters must provide a copy of the signed lease. Questions go to 407-585-1448.
For a new residential account, the deposit is $40 for water only or $85 for water and wastewater, plus a non-refundable $10 processing (turn-on) fee, so $50 or $95 in total. A garbage-only account has a $40 deposit, and a transfer fee is $5. The deposit can be refunded after two years of on-time payments.
Waste Pro collects garbage (green cart) and recycling (blue cart) once a week on the same day. Carts go out no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before and no later than 6 a.m., within 3 feet of the curb, 2 feet apart, with handles facing away from the street. Bring them back in by 8 p.m.
Bulk items such as furniture, appliances, and bicycles go out on the next business day after your regular garbage and recycling day. The limit is 4 cubic yards, and each item must be light enough for two people to lift. You don't need to call Waste Pro unless you want a special pickup.
