Altamonte Springs movers for Uptown apartments, lakeside condos, and established neighborhoods.
Altamonte Springs packs a lot into nine square miles: elevator buildings around Cranes Roost, garden apartments along SR 436, and ranch homes on quiet streets near Lake Orienta. Black Swan Moving books the freight elevator, maps the truck's approach, and keeps your belongings padded and protected from the first carry to the last.

Altamonte Springs, block by block.
Every part of the city has its own loading puzzle. These are the details our crew checks first.
Uptown Altamonte & Cranes Roost
Mid-rise and high-rise residences ring the lake, steps from the boardwalk and fountain shows. Most require a reserved service elevator, padded elevator walls, and a certificate of insurance before a truck can use the loading dock.
The SR 436 corridor
Large complexes line Altamonte Drive and Montgomery Road. Third-floor walk-ups and long breezeways are common, so we count stairs and measure the distance from the closest legal parking spot to your door.
Around Lake Orienta
Some of the city's older homes sit near Lake Orienta and the historic center, with mature oaks, narrow drives, and smaller doorways. Big sectionals and armoires may need to come apart, and we plan for that before the crew arrives.
Spring Oaks & Weathersfield
Single-story homes with carports and screened lanais make for efficient loading. Patio sets, grills, and garage shelving often go last, so tell us what lives outside.
Near AdventHealth Altamonte
Hospital staff, traveling nurses, and professional offices bring steady relocation demand. We work around shift schedules and can move offices after hours.
West of the interstate
Neighborhoods toward Lake Brantley and Forest City Road feel suburban, with larger lots and cul-de-sacs. Our truck backs in so the ramp lands close to the front walk.
How a Cranes Roost condo move actually goes.
High-rise moves succeed or fail on paperwork. Here is our order of operations.
- Reserve the elevatorCall your management office as soon as you have a date. Many buildings allow only one move per day per elevator.
- Request the COIWe send the certificate of insurance your building asks for, naming the association or management company.
- Protect common areasOur crew pads the elevator, lays runners in the hallway, and keeps lobby doors clear for neighbors.
- Load in wavesCarts and dollies move furniture in planned groups so the elevator is never left waiting.
Moving-day routes through Altamonte Springs.
Altamonte sits on top of Central Florida’s busiest corridor. Timing matters more here than almost anywhere else we work.
| Route | How we plan around it |
|---|---|
| Interstate 4 | The Altamonte Springs exits are a choke point between Orlando and Lake Mary. Long-distance and cross-county trips leave early to avoid the rush. |
| SR 436 (Altamonte Drive) | Retail traffic around Altamonte Mall peaks on weekends and holiday shopping weeks. We approach apartment entrances from the direction that avoids illegal U-turns. |
| SR 434 & Central Parkway | The gateway to Uptown and the lake. Event nights at Cranes Roost can close parking areas, so we check the events calendar before your date. |
| US 17-92 | Runs along the eastern edge toward Casselberry and Maitland. Useful for local hops when I-4 is jammed. |

As a Realtor I know there are a lot of option out there when it comes to movers, I chose Black Swan for my person move and could not have been more pleased. Customer service was great over the phone. I will say you may call and not get an answer but leave a message and they will call you back asap. The guys who came to assist with ny move were Bryant and Jerry. They let ne know when they were on their way and arrived within the time promosed tk start. When they arrived they introduced themselve, both were very friendly as well as efficient and quick. Bryant wrapped and banded blankets around anything unboxed in record time. It was obvious it was not his first rodeo.. lol I say rodeo because it reminded me of the hog tying competitions. Everything arrived at the new house safe and sound and Bryant reassembled my furniture better than it was before from orginal store delivery people. Took the time to do it right. I was orginally in a 4th floor apt so there was a lot of effort to move it from the apt so the fact there was nothing damaged was impressive but had there been they do provide some insurance with an option to add additional should you feel a need to. I will be recommending them to clients in the future with confidence. They literally roll out the red carpet for you! Be sure to tip these guys they work hard!
I have moved so many times for work and was dreading an upcoming move. However, thanks to Black Swan, I had an absolutely seamless moving experience. From start to finish, I have zero complaints and am so grateful to the team that moved me. My quote was timely, they followed up amazingly well, and everyone was so kind and helpful. I’m not kidding when I say the booking experience was seamless, they make it easy to provide payment, and everything was transparent and fair.I truly cannot thank you all enough for making the stressful experience of moving feel so easy. Book Black Swan for your next move. You won’t be disappointed. They truly care about their customers and I will recommend them hands down every time. They were careful with my belongings and went the extra mile. What a professional company. Thank you all!!!
Punctual, professional, and super personable!I hired Black Swan Movers based on reviews online and my experience was excellent. They confirmed my appointment ahead of time, and actually showed up early and then got right to work!My move was not an easy one, requiring nearly 9 hrs of moving, and they worked hard the whole time with a positive attitude!I would highly recommend Black Swan Movers, and will certainly call them again if I need moving services!

Altamonte Springs moving questions.
Can you move me into a high-rise or mid-rise building near Cranes Roost Park?
Yes. Uptown Altamonte buildings usually require a reserved freight elevator, a certificate of insurance, and a set loading window. Send us the management office contact and the building's move rules, and we will match our arrival time to your elevator reservation.
Who handles water and trash pickup in Altamonte Springs?
Inside city limits, the City of Altamonte Springs runs water, sewer, reclaimed water, and garbage collection, and you open the account through city utility billing. Some addresses with an Altamonte Springs mailing address are actually in unincorporated Seminole County and are served by Seminole County Utilities, so check which one covers your street.
Which electric company serves Altamonte Springs?
Most Altamonte Springs homes and apartments get electricity from Duke Energy. Start service a week or two before your move so the lights and air conditioning are on when the crew arrives.
Is it hard to get a moving truck in and out near SR 436 and the mall?
It can be. SR 436 near Altamonte Mall and the I-4 interchange backs up at lunch and after work, and many apartment communities along the corridor have tight entrances. We plan the route ahead of time and like to finish loading before the evening rush.
Do you move offices and medical practices in Altamonte Springs?
Yes. The area has many professional offices and medical buildings near AdventHealth Altamonte and along Central Parkway. We can plan after-hours or Saturday moves so your team is ready to work the next business day.
How far ahead should I book an Altamonte Springs move?
Two to four weeks is comfortable for most homes and apartments. Saturdays and the last few days of the month fill first, because that is when most leases turn over.
