How much does a move with Black Swan Moving cost?
Local moves are priced by the hour for the crew and truck. The things that change the total are how much you are moving, how far the truck has to carry it (stairs, elevators, long walks), packing, and the drive between homes. Every job has a three-hour minimum plus a travel fee, and both are spelled out in your quote. Our moving cost guide walks through the details, and the quote itself is free.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Orange City and move homes and businesses across Volusia, Seminole and Orange counties, plus Mount Dora in Lake County. That includes Orlando, Winter Park, Sanford, Lake Mary, DeLand, Deltona, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach and the other cities on our service areas page. Longer moves to other Florida cities are available too.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to four weeks ahead gives you the best choice of dates. Month-end, Saturdays and summer fill first. If your move is sooner, call anyway: short-notice openings come up often.
Do you pack, or do I need to?
Either works. We offer full packing, packing for selected rooms or fragile items only, and unpacking at the new home. If you pack yourself, we still pad and wrap the furniture.
How do you protect furniture and floors?
Furniture is wrapped in moving pads, with stretch wrap where it helps, and strapped in the truck. We lay floor runners from the door to the truck and take apart beds and tables that need it, then set them back up at the new place.
Do you move pianos and other heavy items?
Yes. We move upright and grand pianos, safes, gym equipment and other heavy pieces with the right dollies, straps and crew size. Tell us about them when you request your quote so we bring the right gear. See piano moving for details.
